This
track has now been chosen as the first single to be released since
the completion of the album - its a fairly laidback, melodious song
set to an electronic groove, written and sung by Jono...
Says
Jono..." I overheard a conversation between Dave and a fan in
the dressing room one day, Dave attempting to explain why Fragment
had never really made it big. Said Dave.."Somehow we've always
been on the wrong bus". Seemed quite an appropriate metaphor,
I thought, and so the bus became a train and "Wrong Train"
was born. I can hardly deny that it is at least partly autobiographical,
but ultimately its more of a positive take on life and ambition from
a middle-aged perspective. Be happy with what you've got, not unhappy
with what you haven't......
I made a demo of the song, planning to ask Dave to sing on it, but
everyone seemed to think I should leave it as it was, with my voice.
And so, after all these years, its the first song ever recorded with
me singing the lead...."
