So what the hell have we been up to for the last 6 months? Playing loads of gigs for one thing, obviously....the rest of the time we've been back and forth to Leeuwarden, deep in Friesland, land of the giants [especially if you're Dave anyway], recording that album, thats what.......

This is how it all happened - last year we made our single "Popstars" in Stu Stu Studio, near Hilversum, and it did pretty well - just about made the Top 50. And then Marc de Bruin became our manager - this is a very strange situation for Fragment, cos in 20 years we've never really had a manager [not a proper one anyway unless you count "the American saga" that is]. Anyway Marc said "Come to Leeuwarden and make the album", or something...and we thought "Why? Thats a really stupid idea - firstly its bloody miles away [especially if you're Dave anyway], and secondly its bloody cold there....". But then he introduced us to Syb and Nico, who had just left "De Kast" to start their new band "Spanner". They had built a new recording studio in Nico's house in Leeuwarden, and, having talked to them and listened to their recordings, we decided they were the guys to make the album with...

And so it was - we went to Friesland - we ate there, we drank there, we slept there and even played some music. We met the good people of Leeuwarden [or is it Ljouwaert?], and hung out with the many musicians who are based there - Jenrog, Boulevard, Groev, and Spanner to name but a few of the bands. Some of them even ended up playing on the album. Most importantly we had fun.....and now the album is finished, and we'd like to tell you more about it.

There's loads more stuff about it coming here soon...but just for a start, here's some quick facts.

1. It contains 12 tracks - all written by the band. They are : She's Lost, The T-Shirt Song, Beautiful, God Wud Col, Wrong Train, Wolken, Happy, Bad Day, Popstars, Blow Me Away, Thuis, www.fragmentlive.com

2. Thats 9 songs in English, 2 in Dutch, and one with both [fragmentlive.com]....

3. The most-used word on the album [besides definite articles..] is "YEAH". Hence the album's name.....

4. Dave is the main vocalist on 7 songs, Tim on 4, and Jono on 1....

5. Besides producing the album, Nico also played drums, guitar and sang on it...we think he deserves a medal. Mind you - he's bloody difficult to wake up some days.

The packaging is rather unusual - for your money, you get a CD in its sleeve, a rather wonderful fold-out lyric/text sheet, all tastefully arranged in a little CD-sized red bag.
